Unable to receive calls on Win 7 machine

Postby roffee » Wed Feb 15, 2012 6:11 am

I've been using Bria 3 on my new pc since december 2011. It's a machine with 64 bit Windows 7. Everything worked fine, until mid January. From then I can't recveive incoming calls, but it's still possible to make outgoing calls. I tried do disable and also de-install my firewall (ESET), but for no effect.

No new router has been installed. I use Bria on my Android phone on the same network, and that one receive incoming calls as expected. Tried to exit Android version, just to see if there was some interference, but no...

Anyone who can give me a hint on what to check?

This issue is still bugging me...

I'm convinced that this is a machine specific issue. Tried to use Bria on another windows computer on the network, and everything was ok. As mentioned, I tried to run Bria with the firewall de-installed completely, no good. Just de- and reinstalled Bria to see if there was any difference, but no.

Any tips on what to look for would be most welcome!

Are your topology options set correctly?
Have you tried completely deleting the current SIP account and re-entering the data?

Our company just installed this on a selct few machines. Most are win 7 64 bit but some are also older ones with win XP.
We have the exact same problem. The company we bought it from thought it might be a firewall issue also. (after troubleshooting for a whole day)
After our Internet supplier finally had time to look at it, it seems the issue was not that simple to solve. We still don't have a working system after more then one week after install.

And deleting account and changing options.. lets say during that troubleshooting day. That was done a lot.

Hi Marcus

I use Win 4 64 here with multiple SIP accounts.
There aren't any issues that I have seen.

If you would like I would be happy to test your account from here to alleviate any client side problem.
Just send an email direct to support.

I was replying in answer to the OP who thought it might have to do with win 7. We have win XP machines mixed into it also that it's not working on.
I'm giving our suppliers tomorrow also to try to solve it, then i might send your support a mail.

Just an update, we got it to work by changing the setting from the default "automatic" to "Use local adress".
I thought we had tried that but apparently not.

We got the idea because "Use local adress" was the default setting in the x-lite version.
