I understand but I cannot even change the order of the SIP accounts. However I would not consider that to be the solution but more a workaround. It would be great if Counterpath would give this some serious attention.

Anyway is the example clear and do you understand the problem I am facing?

I do understand; however there are no changes planned in this area at this time.

The idea behind supporting multiple SIP accounts and dialplans is to ensure you can select the right account based on the matching dial pattern. In case multiple patterns match you need to be able to determine the best match in order to select the best matching SIP account. I believe Bria 3 is currently not able to do so.

If I enter this plan will I be able to call North America and Internationally by using just the actual phone number?:

This was listed in help page on counterpath site : to handle International calls as well, you would use
1xxxxxxxxxxT|xxxxxxxxxxT|011xx.T|+x.T;match=1;pre=9;match=2;pre=9;match=3;pre=9;match=4;prestrip=1;pre=9011

My current dial plan is
#1\a\a.T;match=1;prestrip=2;

I just want to able to import contacts without adding 1 for us or 011 for intl and have the phone work

Please help.

Thx

Hi Maarifa,

Based on your dialstring the following will hapen:

any 11 digit number starting with 1 will be dialed as provided but with a leading 9. So 10123456789 will be dialed as 9101234567890
any 10 digit number will be dialed as provided but with a leading 9. So 0123456789 will be dialed as 901234567890
any number starting with 011 with a minimum of 5 digits will be dialed as provided but with a leading 9. So 0110123456789 will be dialed as 901101234567890
any number starting with the + and with a minimum of 1 digit will be modified. The + sign is stripped of and will be replace by 9011. So +31123456789 will become 901131123456789.

I believe that your dialstring will do exactly what you described. However since I am not from the US I can not judge whether the length of the numbers are correct. So please check.

Your current dialstring (the default dialstring) is only usefull in case you have multiple accounts and you want to be able to manualy select an account. It allows you to manually select the first account by adding the #1 to the dialstring. If you do that the #1 will be stripped and the rest of the digits are used to dial the number.

Good luck.

I have four different local area codes where our office pbx is at. How do I add a 1 to all calls that are outside these area codes using Bria for iPhone?

The area codes are 678, 770, 404, and 470.

Create a Dialplan rule on the account:

Match: xxxxxx. (with dot, means 5 digits or more)
Add: 1

Hi. I am new to the forum so hopefully you guys can give me some assistance with creating a dialling plan when using the iPad version of Bria. My configuration consists of the following:

I have configured Bria to connect to my corporate pbx which is a MItel3300 using a VPN connection. I have created a sip extension and configured the softfone with a ddi. I am able to receive and make calls from other extensions across my company and am able to make and receive external calls. All works really well, however having attempted to configure a dialling plan to prefix all numbers beginning with 0 to 7 with a 9 I can't get it working when dialling an external number. My existing plan is as follows:

Match Number [0-7]

Add Prefix 9

I am creating a plan for UK index

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

Re: Dial Plans - Help and Examples - 9 then 1...?

Postby MCCMobile » Wed Jan 11, 2012 5:43 am

Having difficulty configuring/finding a dial plan for use of Bria 3 when clicking on contact's tel numbers.

My corporate set up for my remote office SIP is having to dial 9 then 1 then the long distance number.

Any assistance and example dial plans would be appreciated.

I need a dialplan that first match any 4 digit number starting with 2 (ie internal number) 2xxxT or something i guess?
In all other cases i want it to strip away any "(" ")" or "-" or " " then add a 0 as prefix. Adding the 0 seems pretty straightforward but how do i format away the rest?
It should use the standard account ("1" ?) to make the call.

I want the add always a leading 0 to the numbers (it's my trunk outgoing line)
but I also want to make each +, like: 000 so + needs te bo 00, but also with a leading 0 for outgoing call.

Who knows how todo this?

thanks in advance!

--EDIt--
Solution found: +x.T|x.T;match=1;prestrip=1;pre=000;match=2;pre=0

Hi

my voip provider is locally based. They provide their own application, but it's really buggy, hence why I am using Bria 3.
What do I need to do to make calls to any number?

I need to be able to dial any numbers with area codes in front of them.
031 xxx xxxx
021 xxx xxxx
011 xxx xxxx
etc...

Cell numbers
082 xxxx xxx
072 xxxx xxx
etc

And if I want to dial a number for overseas, I need to be able to dial 0049, 0023

Basically, I want to be able to dial any number, like I would from my normal landline or cell. The manual and all the codes are not making any sense to me...

Thanks

OK, I've played around with some of the examples mentioned, but can't get my dialplan to work. I need:

1. Dial a 10-digit number and prepend a 9
2. Dial an 11-digit number with a +1 and have the +1 removed and prepend a 9
3. Dial an international 011 number and prepend a 9

Thank you in advance for your thoughts,

Ken...
