eyeBEAM - Make Calls but Can't Receive Calls

Postby mwarner » Fri Feb 03, 2006 10:37 am

I have eyeBeam installed and I can make outgoing calls without issue. The problem occurs when I try to answer an incoming call, no audio is transmitted either from the microphone or speakers. I don't hear them and they don't hear me. If I install X-Lite, it works fine both on incoming and outgoing calls. What could be different?

Have you setup a STUN server override (if your provider does not support STUN)?

I am unaware of where to find that setting. I looked in all the setting options and did not see one for the eyeBeam. I think it is available (but nothing entered there) in the X-Lite software. Can you give me directions on how to find it in the eyeBeam software and what the value should be? Please advise.

On the Firewall/NAT page of your enabled SIP account, do a manual override of the STUN server, and use: counterpath.net

(To get to the settings menu, right click on the main interface)

When the override is set, I get no sound in either direction. If I clear the setting, I can hear the caller but they cannot hear me. In either case, they cannot hear me. Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help.

Continued Problems

Postby mwarner » Wed Feb 08, 2006 7:07 pm

In addition to the inability to answer calls and the caller hearing me, I cannot put callers on hold and retrieve them. I also cannot conference users as it would indicate I should be able to do. Finally, I do have X-Lite installed and everything works fine there although limited in what is available to me. I can make and receive calls without an issue with X-Lite though. Please help as soon as possible. Thanks.

It sure sounds like you have incorrectly configured your account.

I ask you againg, how are you entering your providers information into eyeBeam? (What information are you putting where)

Settings

Postby mwarner » Thu Feb 09, 2006 4:15 am

I am reluctant in telling all of my settings on the support forum due to the fact that anyone will be able to take the settings and setup the use on their own system. Can you either contact me directly or let me know what settings you would like to know about so that I can more directly answer your questions without giving away the farm. Thanks.

No Doubt...
I did not need to see your actual password or username. I've e-mailed you directly. :)
