Call interrupted with constant audio tone

Occassionaly a call is interupted with the softphone playing a constant audio tone. It continues if call is hung-up. It stops when the x-lite is exited. I am running on windows 7 with a speakerphone w/microphone. Any ideas of how to fix this?

I have the same problem. It happens a couple of times a week. The tone continues even if X-Lite is closed. I have to restart my computer to stop the tone. I use Windows 7 and a headset with microphone. I already reinstalled X-Lite, but that didn't help. Does anyone know what to do now?
+ we have the feeling that it happens more often when making international calls

Since the upgrade to V5 we have had several instances when we are using the Xlite (with a Plantronics DA40) there are randomly DTMF tones, thought it might have been when we were typing but not always. The DTMF tones plays then it just goes to a continuous tone. The outside caller drops and the program has to be completely exited and restarted for it to clear. We tried suggestions of Inband only for DTMF and not allowing any Inband DTMF.

Does anyone have a fix?

I work for a call center and the same thing is happening to us, very frequently. When we get the tone, the customer is usually still on the line. When we close out X-lite the tone continues. If you CTL-ALT-Delete and go into task manager, you can see the x-lite process still running, if you end the process you can log back into x-lite without having to reboot your computer. We are still investigating what the hect is causing this problem. We used wireshark to capture packages and are in the process of analyzing those right now. I will keep you posted on anything I find.

I am getting the exact same issue. Wireshark logs do not reveal a problem; the audio in Wireshark is tone-free. What else can we try?

Exactly the same problem.
The sound stops only when x-lite exits.
It gets really annoying since it happens all the time.
Its not a computer problem because i have x-lite installed on different machines with different hardware and they all have the same problem.
The only common between computers is that they have windows 7, and they all use a usb headset.
What is the problem?

Are there any specific actions which are triggering the tones? If there are any specific steps that you can provide to help us reproduce this issue or any further information it would be greatly appreciated.

As I said before, we have the feeling it happens more often when making international calls. As for as we know, there is no specific action that triggers the tone, it has occurred at all stages of the phone call (beginning, end, middle), sometimes even multiple times per phone call!

Try these settings in X-Lite, they seem to be working on our machines:

SOUNDS -> Enable Sounds -> For an incoming call
DEVICES -> Zero touch device configuration (Disable, Also ring PC Speaker)
AUDIO CODECS -> G711 uLaw
ADVANCED -> Send in-band

I downloaded the 5.0.2 and tried the settings suggested. It still happens. Basically it only happens on conference or bridge calls. It happens when someone exists the bridge.
