5.0 memory leak? Can it be corrected?

Postby bobinla » Sun Jul 29, 2012 11:26 am

Hi Everyone,

I'm on Windows 7, 64 bit. I've been using previous versions of x-lite for years and never noticed this problem. The initial footprint for 5.0 when I load it is around 120,000 (seems much larger than before although I don't have a record) and then grows over time so that within a day its over 300,000. Anyone else see this problem. If anyone from Counterpath is reading this, can you tell me it this is a replicable problem and if you plan to address it?

Thanks,

Bob

Hello Bob,
This issue is fixed many releases ago. Can you provide the build number?
Thanks

Bump. Any info on this question? X-lite 5 also seems cause consistent CPU spikes, although I can't say for sure if this was also happening in version 4.

There is an updated version of X-Lite available on www.softphone.com

Could you try installing this version? Hopefully this addresses some of the issues you've been experiencing. I will also log this issue with our engineering department.

Thank you!
