Help with Xlite 4.0 Autoupdate to 5.0?

Hey all.

I work for a company who uses xlite 4.0. This morning, everyone was receiving the prompt to auto-update to Xlite 5.0. A few people did in fact install the update, and now are having issues.

Two of the employees are reporting loud, high pitch buzzing on calls since the update.

One of those employees is ONLY experiencing the buzzing when attempting to transfer calls.
The other is experiencing it on every call, the entire call.
Finally, one other employee had their entire system lock up when attempting to install the update. They have since rebooted, and chosen not to install.

The only solution thus far has been to reboot Xlite, which obviously takes time, and therefore is not conducive to efficiency during the work day.

The other problem, is that ALL of us are now being prompted to update (we have been advised not to until a solution to the buzzing has been found). There seems to be no way to turn off the auto update, and choosing to not update results in Xlite closing. Upon reopening, the prompt may or may not appear.

Can anyone assist?

I work for a company that used X-Lite as well. I've updated one of the systems to 5.0, but have not yet actually put an agent on and tested it out. I hope this forum will provide some insight.

I am a business owner too, and now that I made the mistake up updating, I cannot even get it enabled so I cannot even work. Is there any way to undo the update? How can I get the old version back?? Can anyone help please??

Can anyone help please?? I cannot even receive or make calls and there is no support for this "update" and they should warn you of the negative effects and time lost unable to work!!

I have had this problem even with a fresh install of Win7 and a new install of the client...

If you go into troubleshooting under Audio I am seeing that I am successfully registered with the sip server however I receive the following warnings.
-Limited data sent/received; possible codec mismatch
-Audio quality is poor

Very frustrated with the forced update... especially with so many bugs. I have tried a few different codecs but still get the same error every time.

If anyone finds a fix for this please let us know.
