is there any specific date that is on the horizon where we can expect some details and information from Steve Jobs and his Apple counterparts about the next iphone model?

i know its LIKELY to be released around july 2011 and it will PROBABLY have a bigger screen and HOPEFULLY include NFC technology, but i like to hear it from the horses mouth so was hoping apple have planned press conferences or conventions etc in the new year to talk about their products. thanks.
