How to use Voice Mail with X-Lite

How do I use Voice Mail with X-Lite?
I have tried to call #86 and entered my v-mail password with the # (Pound-key ?) at the end, but I will not work.
And how can I record my anouncment to the "answermachine"? (Hello this is xxxx's phone. I'm not home right now.....)
I recive a notification by mail when there is a answer on my phone.

I think that it sends touch tones (DTMF) in a way which many servers cant understand.

I have the same problem as yourself with the voicemail service (i use the mac version). Also cant get xlite to send tones to ICH in a way the ICH server can understand.....

I use a Mac OS X 10.2 with X-Lite 2.0b4

I've tried to setup inband and outband DTMF : no success on either config
I've tried with 711a/u or GSM with inband : only negative results
made all my tests with FWD voicemail (#86#) : call goes perfectly thru, I hear the voice prompts but no chance to go thru with DTMF

Well, in theory the Mac version ought to be sending them just the same way as the Windows version is. The Mac version is currently being synced up with the latest Windows source, and once that's accomplished I'll let the QA department know that DTMF transmission needs particular attention.

No I'm not using Mac, but a regular PC with XP Pro.

I use the X-Lite and I dial 86 on the "phone" on the screen.
This is the number to Voicemail.

Then I have to enter "your pin, followed by the pound-key".
After that I have to enter a mailboxnumer followed by a pound-key.
Nothing happends. The reply is "This service is temperarily unavalibale"

( is pound-key the same as # ? )

I have X-Pro and I'm using a Mac and DTMF also does not work for me.

For some reason the FWD/IPeria voicemail system is very picky with DTMF tones, it has to do with XLite/Pro I believe because ATA users are not having problems from what I heard.

X-PRO and X-Lite for Windows both can navigate FWD's voicemail system (86@fwd.pulver.com). There may be a codec issue that is preventing the DTMF tones from being recognized by the system.

Make sure that all codec's are enabled and then try it again. Yes, the pound key is the "#" key.
