You need to contact Telmex for any update.

Thanks

Hey Alberto, I have the same problem.... Have u had any luck hearing from Telmex? I just called them and they dont have a clue. A call centre staff told me it works for the new "word" but not for snow leopard. Do u know if there is a workaround to make it work because Telmex support is hopeless.

no I haven't received an answer, I assume that the only way is to contact the engineers in charge of eyebeam in Telmex, I don't think the call center even knows what Snow Leopard is, I'll try to call again I guess.

I just called them, They said that they have no way of contacting the people who's supposed to stay in contact with counter Path, So I don't really know what to do know, There's no solution with Telmex and no way of knowing who's the person in charge of the Counter Path account, I think we won't be able to use it, unless someone else finds the contact on Telmex

You would have to ask TELMEX.
I have asked the sales person to contact them.

I have been unable to access Nikkom using X-Lite 4.0 beta on Snow Leopard.

The techs at Nikkom indicated that my configuration is ok as far as they are concerned.

I am getting an:

Problem at server (error 408). Try again later.

---

Any ideas ?

Hi, I have the same problem as most of all the people with snow leopard and Telmex (Bogotá, Colombia). Today I have checked the site of telmex and the Softphone version is still in Mac OSX 10.4  so I believe it is easier to find the holy grial that the telmex people do something. I started looking for an answer and I found your version of X-Lite (that is free of course) and in your site says: "a VoIP subscription with a local service provider or Internet Service Provider is required" and I have one with telmex so the main question is Can I use the X-Lite with the data telmex gave me?
I downloaded the X-Lite and I tried to configured a SIP Account entering my data from the one telmex gave me for the old eyebeam, but one of the problems is that I don't have the domain info, so what I did was to run the eyebeam from telmex (The 10.4 version and the main problem with that eyebeam is that the other person which I'm calling from the eyebeam doesn't ear me) went to preferences and activated the Log and after attempting to call I went to check the log file and there was a Domain info, so I copied a pasted it in the X-Lite account setup but after I finished the X-Lite showed a error: "Registration Error: 403 - Forbidden".

I don't know what to do. :(

Telmex people are useless and the eyebeam it's real important for me. (I don't use and I don't have windows)
If I purchase the eyebeam, or better, the CounterPath Bria for snow leopard with you (CounterPath), the telmex data that I have right now, will work for activate the softphone?

Thanks

Hi

If the data is not working in X-Lite than it will not work in eyeBeam either.

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

I'm confused, you said: "If the data is not working in X-Lite than it will not work in eyeBeam either." but in snow leopard I can log in into the eyeBeam (the version from telmex) and I can make calls, the problem is that the other person can't ear me.

I believed that if I can log in into the eyeBeam with the data from telmex, so with the X-Lite I can log in too, I just have to have the right information.

Telmex gave me two data: User Code and Softphone Code.

Here's a example I made up, it's not real and it won't work it's just a bunch of random numbers and letters.

User Code: 14386579
Softphone Code: af353GGEsdfawv3F

When I open X-Lite this is the image of the account setup:

Image

I believe that the User name and the Authorization user name are the same and the Password is the Softphone Code provided by telmex, in this case (af353GGEsdfawv3F). The main problem is the Domain I don't know what to put. I found this 200.118.3.125 but I'm not sure and by the way it doesn't work because after pressing ok, the X-Lite show me the Registration Error (you can see the error in the image above).

I'm quite sure that if I knew the right information from the eyeBeam I can log in into the X-Lite, but I don't know if the data I'm inserting it's right.

Thanks

If you are getting a 403 then you are likely hitting their server.
Did Telmex tell you if they allow connections from soft phones that are not their own?
