eyeBeam & OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

Postby JTarala » Wed Aug 12, 2009 6:27 am

I have a Mac that was running OS X 10.5.8 with eyeBeam 1.5.18.2 (current build) without problems. I recently upgraded the Mac to OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard (build 10A421a). Under 10.6, eyeBeam appears to register properly with our Call Manager server and receive/place calls however I am getting no audio whatsoever - not even dial tone when I hit the speakerphone button to initiate a call. Additionally, the input audio icon stays red even when a call is initiated.

Any ideas/suggestions?

I'm willing to beta test new builds, etc. I realize that I am running a beta OS, however this is only several builds from the Gold Master that will be shipping next month - this is going to quickly become a bigger problem.

Thanks in advance.

Hi I also am experiencing the same problem.
This will be a big issue for us shortly as we will be upgrading our computers to 10.6 to utilise the enhanced collaborative services of 10.6 and 10.6. Server

Looks like 10.6 Snow Leopard might even ship yet in August. I too, cannot move forward with more licenses until this has been resolved. Our users want to be very aggressive with their adoption of 10.6.

The other thing that the current build of eyeBeam does (under the Snow Leopard Beta) is crash when you close the application.

CounterPath Support - how about at least a comment as to where you stand with support of OS X 10.6?

Same issues here - Looking forward to an update that works in Snow Leopard.

Snow Leopard is BETA software at this time.
Once released we will issue a compatability statement.

Have you tried the X-Lite beta for MAC?

Derek:

Just installed X-Lite Beta on 10.6 Build 10A432 and it runs but I cannot get the Preference menu to load. You select it from the X-Lite Beta menu and the menu item flashes for a second and then nothing.

Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem with eyebeam, that's not beeing mentioned here. Eyebeam does not validate my license key. The key is valid, and validates fine with Leopard.

Can anyone confirm this? :)

Are you trying to use a PC license on a MAC?

Just installed the retail Snow Leopard today (Friday). As per earlier reports in this topic, I too get no audio at all with EyeBeam, although the call signaling otherwise works fine.

In addition, EyeBeam crashes each time it is instructed to quit (after a delay of several seconds).

I hope the above is helpful. Regards, M.
